Steve Vai Talks About Meat Loaf on VH1's Classic Radio Report

Legendary guitarist Steve Vai had some great things to say when asked by VH1's Classic Radio Report about his recent collaboration on Meat Loaf's Hang Cool Teddy Bear.

“Well I had contributed to Meat’s tracks in the past and we’ve known each other, so I’m no stranger. And I got the call and as soon as I got the call I was like, yes, I’m there. And the track started playing and I listened to it and I just started playing. It was very cool. It worked out great.”

Vai went on to describe what he thinks of Meat Loaf.

“He’s such a visceral singer, you know. He really is committed. He’s so passionate and he really is intense. Meat Loaf is really intense when you start getting into the music. I did a performance with him once too in Vegas, a Queen thing, and he is just real committed. And you can hear it in this record, I think more than ever.”
